Jesuadimai Pangu Raj (June 11, 1931 - June 18, 2016), also known as Jeppiaar or JPR , is an Indian politician, educator and industrialist of the Mukkuvar Christian community. He was born in Muttom near Nagercoil, Travancore Cochin Presidency, now Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu.
He earned a Bachelor of Law (B.L.) from Madras University and a Ph.D. from Anna University. He is the founder and Chairman of Jeppiaar Educational Trust and he is the Founder and Chancellor of Sathyabama University. He is also President of the Consortium of Professional, Art, and College of Sciences from Tamil Nadu.
He is one of the pioneers in the privatization of technical education in Tamil Nadu.
Net worth is estimated to reach INR 3,000 crore by 2016.

Early life and philosophy
Jeppiaar was born in a Christian family of Mukkuvar. His father was Jesuadimai and the mother of Panimalar Ammal, after he named the educational institution Panimalar. He is a passionate fan of M. G. Ramachandran, since his childhood.
He rose to a very high level through hard work and commitment. His philosophy of life includes the well-known 3 C, the Beliefs, the Courage, and the Characters.

Political career
During the Dr.MGRamachandran's Regime , he acted as the head whip of the Government of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Council. He also served as Secretary of the Chennai AIADMK District Party from 1972 to 1987 and was a special envoy to the Chief Minister.

Death
On June 18, 2016, he died shortly after suffocation, around 8.30 pm and 8.45 pm. He was rushed to the Global Hospital's emergency room at around 8:50 pm, Perumbakkam, where he was declared dead on arrival. He was 85 years old, at the time of death. The Jeppiaar cemetery took place at Sathyabama University, Chennai on June 19, 2016 and was attended by students, teachers, politicians, filmmakers and people from all walks of life; and he was buried at the entrance of the University.
Museum Launching
In honor of it, the Memorial Museum was established and inaugurated at the Jeppiaar Engineering College on June 17, 2017. The museum is an artistic award to him, and was launched the day before his first anniversary of death. Mariazeena Jeppiaar. This museum is the first of its kind in India, which has been dedicated exclusively to an educator. He has a collection of his various portraits, depicting his life and achievements in areas such as the academic, cultural, and social circles from his childhood to death among his personal belongings. The entire work of this museum was designed by artist Mr.A.P.Sridhar. Several officials from the cinema and the field of education attended and inaugurated the museum.
