Services

Christians Against Poverty offer several different services. Since the organization was founded in 1996, the organization is renowned for offering free debt counseling. The organization works through a network of regional offices that exist in partnership with the local Christian church. Individuals who seek help from a charity give the charity the authority to negotiate with the creditor, and the charity will then regulate individual finances in order to make them debt free within 5 years. The social worker will create an ongoing private budget for the client, prioritize basic living needs and offer fair lenders, pro-rata payments affordable as far as possible.

In 2013, CAP launched Job Clubs, a service targeted to the unemployed. In 2014, CAP starts running the Group Release for people looking to address dependency and dependency. The group runs courses based on the Twelve Steps and offers one-on-one training for all members. In 2015, CAP launched its newest service pilot Life Skills.

The CAP also runs a Money Course to teach budgeting skills. The course comes in a number of variations, tailored for children, young people, students and adults.
