The Head Hunters Motorcycle Club is a motorcycle club of criminals in New Zealand. They are found around the North Island, but mainly based in East Auckland, with its headquarters located in Ellerslie. They also have branches in West Auckland, Wellsford, Northland, and Wellington. They have a long criminal history, with over 1000 criminal convictions, and 110 members and associates in New Zealand's prison system.

History
Head Hunters was formed in 1967, at East Auckland Glen Innes as a large multi-ethnic street gang, but later moved locations, and finally, in 1985, evolved into Motorcycling Club, before becoming legally legitimate society in 1996.
They are known as allies of Hells Angels, the Filthy Few, an the Nomads.
The Head Hunters run a successful fight club, which ran out of their headquarters in East Auckland.
This gang is known for its violent reputation. With the growing reputation of their 'violence', seeing themselves as an elite group of criminals, the gang began to limit its membership.
When talking about gangs, Detective Sergeant Craig Martin Turley said,
"Head Hunters Motorcycle Clubs are considered one of the most dangerous organized criminal operations in the country.This controls West Auckland crime scenes...... They are responsible for the manufacture, sale and distribution of Controlled Class A, B, and C, with agreements taking place across the country...... Theft of organized, acceptance and distribution of stolen property has value, over the years, in millions...... The murders, serious attacks and kidnappings the suspicious also caused a lot of warnings.Plaiding, house invasion and robbery are underway ".

Headhunters are organized crime groups, using companies, communities, and trusts to blanket their operations and cash flows in secrecy.
The gang has a single stratergi, remains limited in members, reports all to headquarters in Ellerslie, and expands nationwide.
The Head Hunter's main rival is a loosely connected gang with no centralized national body, whereas Head Hunters legally incorporated the National Board with the Community Office in 1996, Head of the Incorporated Motorcycle Club Hunters .
This organization has been known to use patching them with smaller regional gangs, allowing them to become Headhunters only if they adhere to the business model.
East Auckland Hunters Head has opened their gym to the public, providing a place for the youth to get off the road. The gang also banned the use of methamphetamine in its ranks.

Headhunters typically use legitimate business purchases to cover, and wash, for drug work and extortion by gangs.

'HEAD HUNTERS MOTORCUBCLE CLUB INCORPORATED' (Society No: 829572) was established as a community incorporated in New Zealand on 5 December 1996.
Assets
The 2017 Financial Report, of the incorporated portion of the organization, filed by the New Zealand Community Office states total assets to be $ 106,630. Registered assets include property, 7 Centennial Park Road, Wellsford. Property search shows the image and symbolism of a clear New Zealand Head Hunter. The Centennial Park property is also listed as a community registered office, and is the headquarters for the chapter Head of North Hunters , located in Wellsford.
Marua Road's headquarters for East Chapter is owned by New Zealand company, East 88 Property Holdings Ltd. Company shares are all held by trusts, all of which are overseen by the most senior members of Head Hunters. (East represents the Eastern Chapter gang, 88 representing the eighth letter of the alphabet, H, therefore 88 represents HH, Headhunter short inscription.)

The organization is known to own, and operate, Fight Club 88 from their Ellerslie headquarters, 232 Marua Road.
Head Hunters not only benefit from boxing training companies, but from merchandising 88 who see them selling hats, hats, t-shirts, sports bags, and sweaters, among others.
The Capital Cage Club
Wellington Chapter previously operated the Battle Cage training facility in Upper Hutt. This operation is run by a charitable organization headed by the Chief Hunter, Capital Transition Charity Steering Committee . The Council was established on September 18, 2012, with the aim of providing 'training facilities for small targeted groups, people who may not have access to the facility.' Reported in 2013 that the gym has been closed, with all signage, equipment, and items related to the gym removed in February 2013.
The club has been registered at Upper Hutt's address, 16 Goodshed Road, and has been operated by members of Wellington Chapter Nathan Waka Paul Hemana, and former car boss Head of Motor Club Incorporated Hunter Philip MacFarland.
The charity trust is still listed, and has not been removed from the list, indicating it's still actively in use.
