The National Foundation for Debt Management is the US credit counseling agency. The organization was founded, but is set up as a non-profit organization. The foundation focuses on consumer education on debt practices. They also focus on distributing personal financial information to the public.

The National Foundation for Debt Management is committed to encouraging public education on proper money management, budgeting and credit utilization. Since 1999, NFDM certified financial counselors have helped thousands of families. NFDM is dedicated to providing professional and confidential services to help families and individuals who are in financial difficulty. NFDM seems to help consumers better understand and manage their finances through assistance with:

Housing counseling (mortgage process, predatory borrowing, homeowner insurance, home improvement, expenses and maintenance, and more). NFDM is HUD (Urban Development and Housing Development Agency) - Approved Housing Counseling Agency.

The National Foundation for Debt Management is a 501 (c) (3) educational organization based in Clearwater, Florida. NFDM aims to help people better understand their personal finances and control their financial lives. NFDM has helped thousands of consumers reach aid from destroying debt and has been advising on personal finance issues to thousands of others. Certified consultants and educators work with schools, community groups, churches, charitable organizations and others to help citizens learn personal finance skills from the most basic to the more advanced.

Throughout the year, NFDM supports many local and national charitable organizations. As part of its mission as a nonprofit organization, NFDM has the responsibility to contribute to a wider community and is committed to helping others achieve their financial goals through education. Staff members are encouraged to take part in events both within and outside of work that seek to improve schools, strengthen the environment, and encourage volunteer services.
