Dave Ramsey Show is a three-hour radio and podcast program, syndicated by financial writers and eponymous speakers, which airs from Monday to Friday from 2 to 5 PM ET. It is primarily broadcast from Brentwood, Tennessee, though often during the summer it is broadcast over long distances from Ramsey's lake house. In 2008, this was one of the ten most heavily listened radio shows.
Ramsey takes a vocation on the theme of finance, and sometimes Christian philosophy associated with money due to tithing, etc. During the show, he discussed the issues of life and finances with the callers. He is known for the complete contempt of debt collectors, calling them "garbage" and dishonest, and urging his listeners not to deal with them unless necessary, and then to get everything in writing, especially involving bids to reduce debt.
With a simple "step-step" seven-stage formula (partly based on the snowball method of debt), Ramsey encourages listeners to avoid all debts except for certain types of home mortgages, and to conservatively invest.
One important difference between him and other financial performances is that Ramsey is trying to go beyond mathematical mechanics and reach his callers on an emotional and spiritual level.
This event has channels on iHeartRadio.

History
The program began June 15, 1992, when Ramsey, selling copies of Financial Peace from the trunk of his car, was a guest at 99.7 WWTN. The station recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and one of its residents quit after being unpaid, leaving the station scrambling to fill the gap in its lineup. Ramsey offered to do a one-hour free show for a month, not fully expecting success. The Money Game airs with Ramsey, Hal Wilson and Roy Matlock each hosting an hour alone on certain days of the week. Ramsey is a bankruptcy and teacher "out of debt" on Monday and Wednesday, Matlock answers investment questions Tuesday and Thursday, and Wilson's topic on Friday is primarily real estate. After the station management asked Wilson to stop his share of the program, Ramsey and Matlock worked together to organize a five-day event per week. Finally, Matlock left the show well to focus on his financial services business, leaving Ramsey to host the show itself.
This program became very popular in Nashville. Reportedly, when WWTN asked Ramsey to syndicate the show, Ramsey only pointed to Blake Thompson, who continues to be the executive producer of the show to this day. As Bill Hampton, Vice President of The Lampo Group stated, "they learned the syndication from the bottom up."
The Money Game changed its name to The Dave Ramsey Show in mid 1996. By 2017, the event was heard on over 585 stations. In 2006, the event received two nominations for Radio & amp; News Notes/Talks of Industrial Achievements. This is the fifth year in a row for Dave Ramsey in the category "Best Personality Syndicates of the Year", and the second year in a row for Bill Hampton in the "Executive of the Year" category.
On the event's success, Bill Hampton stated that he made $ 2.5 million in network sales in 2005 while MyTMMO.com did $ 1.2 million. He also stated that the event will bring in about $ 3.7 million from advertisers. The show is now also available in podcasts via iTunes.
Ramsey's show was one of the few national radio shows that syndicated itself. The program is not connected to any national network or programming service, and is distributed directly to local stations. Ramsey's show is fed to a 24/7 station so stations do not have to record their shows for the broadcast later, but they can always use satellite feeds. The event is distributed via Westwood One satellite platform.
After 20 years of broadcast on WTN, on January 1, 2013, the event was moved to 102.5 FM ( "The Game" ). Ramsey and WTN are unable to reach a renewal contract deal. One year later, on January 1, 2014, the event was moved to WLAC.
