Dow Design is a New Zealand-based brand design company based in Auckland.

Formed in 1993 by Annie Dow and the late Greg Dow, Dow Design employs a team of designers, account directors and digital studio teams, plus external PR brand strategies and IT consultants.

Dow Design has masterminded the making of some of the most iconic and successful brands in New Zealand, especially in packaging design. They have been recognized by both domestic and international industry awards.

Fresh'n Fruity

In 2009, Dow Design was renamed the Fresh'n Fruity Fonterra Brands yoghurt brand. The Fresh'n Fruity package is featured in the first book of the brand packaging website www.thedieline.com, called Box Bottle Bag, published in 2010.

Big and Big Wednesday

The New Zealand Lottery Commission appointed Dow Design in 2005 to create a brand identity for Big Wednesday, the first midweek television rally in New Zealand that offers large non-cash prizes, such as luxury cars, on top of significant cash prizes (minimum value $ 2 million).

Robert Harris

Owned by Cerebos Gregg's, Robert Harris's coffee was launched in 1972. New Zealand's coffee company Robert Harris is the country's largest fresh coffee brand, and also has the largest coffee shop network in New Zealand. The Dow design revived the Robert Harris brand in 2008 with a complete coffee refit and redesign of both coffee packaging in the retail and food service area. Dow Design Packaging Design for Robert Harris has been selected to appear in the Luerzer Archives 2009 - a publication featuring the concept of packaging of the top 200 brands in the world.

Veda Advantage

Veda Advantage, formed by the sale of Baycorp Advantage's debt collection service, uses Dow Design to create a new identity to communicate the Vedic Trans-Tasman vision. Agencies use the symbol 'greater than' to communicate the three divisions of the Vedic Advantage - information, analytics, and risk management.

Kapiti Cheese

The agency is designing packaging for Kapiti Fine Foods Ltd Kapiti Cheese. 'Kapiti Fine Foods Ltd', part of the Fonterra group, is a New Zealand company that manufactures dairy products for domestic consumption and for export. After setting the tone and language for the "A New Zealand Original" brand, Dow Design uses Kapiti award winning Kikorangi as a stepping stone to strategically capitalize on growth for all Kapiti premium cheeses.

Vogel's

The reprocessing of Dow's milk anchors in 2001 revolutionized the milk category, introduced humor to milk, commodities, and turned Anchor into an imaginative brand connected to its customers. The marketing and future advertising of this brand is based on packaging design and character cast including genuine Georgie the Cow and the rest of Anchorville.

Represented at The Designers Institute of New Zealand Awards (BeST), Dow Design has also received awards at the Summit Awards, New York festivals, Australian Packaging Awards, FAB and the World Packaging Association.
